AN GABRIEL STRENGTHENS COMMITMENT TO A SMOKE-FREE COMMUNITY

The Municipality of San Gabriel proudly took part in the MPOWER in Action: Empowering Local Leaders and Enforcers Training, an initiative under the Smoke-Free La Union Project in partnership with the Provincial Government of La Union through the Provincial Health Office and the Partnerships for Health, Agriculture, Nation-Building, and Socio-Economic Upliftment, Inc. (PNBI).
The training equipped local officials, department heads, and enforcement personnel with the knowledge and strategies needed to effectively implement and enforce smoke-free and vape-free policies in our communities. Through discussions on the WHO MPOWER Framework, tobacco and vape control laws, enforcement mechanisms, and local action planning, participants strengthened their commitment to protecting public health.
Together, we continue to work toward a healthier, safer, and smoke-free San Gabriel for every resident.
