BALIK SIGLA SA ILOG AT LAWA

With the support of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Lany Baobaoen-Carbonell, we joined the FishCon , Stock Enhancement: “Balik Sigla sa Ilog at Lawa” led by BFAR RFO I, under the leadership of Regional Director Remely Lachica, through her staff Ms Felymar C. Ragutero and colleagues, held on September 17, 2026 at Kabassitan River, San Gabriel, La Union.

Together with MFARMC Chairman Committee on Agriculture Mr. Belmore Bugaoan, SBM Renato C. Laquidan, Chairperson on Agriculture, and the Municipal Agriculture Office, led by MA Rizalina Tugelida-Quiros, with Fishery Coordinator Jerrima Laquidan and Mao Planning and Report Officer Randy Laquidan, we released freshwater prawn and ayungin into Kabassitan River, and carp was distributed to one of the beneficiaries of the Lawa at Binhi Program .

A simple but meaningful step toward enhancing our aquatic resources, protecting our river, and promoting sustainable fisheries for our community.
