Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office I (DA-RFO I)
“To nurture the land is to honor the hands that till it. Farmers are the quiet heroes who turn soil into sustenance, seasons into stories, and sweat into survival. Gratitude is only the beginning—they deserve unwavering support, not just during harvest, but in every sunrise that calls them back to the fields.”
This powerful message came to life on June 20, 2025, as the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office I (DA-RFO I) carried out an Awarding and Distribution Ceremony of Agricultural Interventions at the DA-Ilocos Region Integrated Agricultural Research Center in Sapilang, Bacnotan, La Union.
The event was graced by esteemed leaders and stakeholders, including Congressman Paolo Ortega V, Vice Mayor Francis Fontanilla, Dr. Divina Gracia Apigo, Director John B. Pascual of DA-RFO I, and Hon. Lany M. Baobaoen-Carbonell—all of whom stood united in support of uplifting local agriculture and empowering our farmers.
