LGU San Gabriel Strengthens Coordination on DSWD Social Protection Programs

The Local Government Unit of San Gabriel, La Union, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), conducted an orientation on key programs and services of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office I (DSWD FO I) at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall.

The activity brought together Punong Barangays, Barangay Secretaries, BSCA Presidents, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan to enhance their understanding of the Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens (SPISC), Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), and Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), including UPLIFT.

The activity underscored the importance of strengthened coordination among the LGU, barangays, DSWD, and other stakeholders in ensuring that social protection programs are properly communicated, appropriately referred, and made accessible to qualified individuals and families.

Through the MSWDO, the LGU San Gabriel continues to strengthen partnerships and improve the delivery of responsive, inclusive, and accessible social welfare services for the people of San Gabriel.
