The Local Government Unit of San Gabriel, through the Municipal Agriculture Office, successfully conducted the Turnover and Awarding of Farm Implements on July 22, 2026 to the Lipay Este Farmers Association, beneficiary of the Gulayan sa Barangay and Adaptation and Mitigation Initiative in Agriculture (AMIA) Programs of the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office I .
Present during this meaningful activity were Municipal Mayor Lany Baobaoen-Carbonell, the Municipal Agriculturist and staffs, the Punong Barangay Mariano Watan, members of the Barangay Council, and the officers and members of the Lipay Este Farmers Association led by their President Ricky Guiad, all united in supporting the agricultural sector and the hardworking farmers of the community.
In her heartfelt message, Mayor Lany Baobaoen-Carbonell reminded the beneficiaries to value and nurture the interventions entrusted to them.
The farm implements and agricultural inputs distributed today are expected to strengthen vegetable production, promote climate-resilient agriculture, and empower the association to become more productive and self-reliant.
More importantly, they represent the shared vision of the Department of Agriculture and the LGU San Gabriel—to ensure that every farmer is equipped with the means to cultivate not only the land but also a brighter and more secure future.
To the members of the Lipay Este Farmers Association led by Mr. Ricky Guiad , may these interventions inspire you to work together with dedication and perseverance. May every seed planted and every harvest reaped stand as a testament to what can be achieved through unity, hard work, and strong partnerships.
The LGU San Gabriel extends its deepest gratitude to the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office I for its continued trust and support in bringing meaningful programs closer to our farming communities.
Together, we plant the seeds of hope today, so that future generations may reap the harvest of a stronger, more resilient, and food-secure San Gabriel.
