Mayor Carbonell Welcomes 4th Special Forces Company Representatives

Municipal Mayor Lany B. Carbonell warmly welcomed representatives from the 4th Special Forces (Mabangis) Company, Special Forces Battalion, SFR (A), PA during their courtesy visit and coordination meeting.

The productive gathering brought together key local security and safety pillars, including the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), to align efforts for upcoming community resilience initiatives.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the deployment of the 4SFC in La Union to conduct Resiliency Operations in support of the Office of Civil Defense’s community capacitation programs, which are scheduled to run from the fourth week of November to the first week of December 2026. These collaborative efforts aim to strengthen public awareness on disaster risk reduction and management, promote community preparedness and security, and establish a robust, coordinated disaster-resilient community response network across the municipality.
