PUBLIC ADVISORY

Pursuant to Malacañang Memorandum Circular No. 132, classes at all levels and work in government offices in the Province of La Union are suspended today, AUGUST 28, 2026 (1:00 PM), in anticipation of the further enhancement of the Southwest Monsoon by the Low Pressure Area that entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

​Suspension of work in private companies is left at the discretion of their respective heads of office.

Offices providing essential services, such as health, disaster risk reduction, and emergency response, will remain fully operational.
