The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) conducted the validation of more than 200 senior citizens in the municipality

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) conducted the validation of more than 200 senior citizens in the municipality on September 16, 2026 as part of the process of identifying eligible beneficiaries for the Social Pension Program for Indigent Senior Citizens.
Through this validation, the needs and eligibility of the senior citizens were assessed based on the guidelines of the program.
Following the validation, the assessment and selection process for qualified beneficiaries will proceed in accordance with the guidelines set by the DSWD. Senior citizens who are selected will be informed of the succeeding steps in the process.
The LGU San Gabriel, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), will continue to work and coordinate with the DSWD to help ensure the proper and orderly implementation of the program and the delivery of appropriate services to our senior citizens.
