The Local Government Unit of San Gabriel joined the celebration of the 176th Founding Anniversary of La Union held on February 15, 2026 at SM City La Union.

Led by Mayor Lany M. Baobaoen-Carbonell and Vice Mayor Ramolito Guinomma, the municipality took part in the opening program anchored on the theme “Rikna ti Agkaysa”. San Gabriel proudly participated in the Agkaysa Walk together with the twenty (20) local government units of the province, symbolizing solidarity and shared commitment to progress.
The event was followed by the opening of Lagip ti Umili, a gallery exhibit showcasing the rich history and culture of the united province, led by Mario Eduardo Ortega.
Through this meaningful celebration, San Gabriel reaffirms its unity with the province in promoting heritage, cooperation, and inclusive development.
