The Local Government Unit of San Gabriel, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) – Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), successfully conducted the Distribution of the Community Mobilization Fund (CMF) on July 23, 2026, benefiting the Bumbuneg SLPA, Amontoc SLPA, Lipay Sur SLPA, Lipay Norte SLPA, Polipol SLPA, Blabalayang SLPA, and Lacong SLPA.
The Community Mobilization Fund (CMF) is a grant provided under the Sustainable Livelihood Program to strengthen community organizations by supporting capacity-building activities, leadership development, organizational planning, and other initiatives that help SLP Associations become more resilient, self-reliant, and sustainable.
Led by the Honorable Municipal Mayor, together with representatives from the MSWDO and DSWD-SLP, the team personally visited each SLPA to check on their current status, listen to their accomplishments and challenges, and encourage members to continue strengthening their organizations.
During the visit, the beneficiaries were reminded to utilize the Community Mobilization Fund and other government grants responsibly and solely for their intended purposes. The members were also encouraged to work hand in hand in achieving their long-term goal of becoming registered cooperatives, while the LGU reaffirmed its commitment to continuously support their growth through technical assistance, capability-building, and livelihood development initiatives.
Together, we continue to build empowered communities, sustainable livelihoods, and a stronger San Gabriel.
