Weather Advisory No. 32 For: Tropical Cyclone Emong and Southwest Monsoon

As of 11 a.m. on July 23, 2025, PAGASA issued Weather Advisory No. 32 for Tropical Cyclone Emong and the Southwest Monsoon. Heavy rainfall of 50–200 mm is expected over Northern Luzon today through July 26, particularly in Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Kalinga, Apayao, Pangasinan, La Union, and Benguet, with over 200 mm possible in some areas. The Southwest Monsoon will also bring 50–200 mm of rain across Central and Southern Luzon, Metro Manila, Bicol Region, and parts of Visayas and MIMAROPA, with the heaviest rainfall over Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro. Rain may be higher in mountainous areas and worsened by earlier rains. The public is advised to take precautions against flooding and landslides and to follow local PAGASA updates. Heavy Rainfall Warnings give short-term, localized forecasts using radar, while Weather Advisories provide broader 24-hour provincial outlooks.
